First, you choose a cup and any dairy free ice cream. Then, you choose from a variety of healthy toppings, such as choc quinoa pops or edible 24k gold. Finally, you choose a sauce\u2014such as condensed milk or guava sauce\u2014to compliment your ice cream. The toppings and sauce are extra. The first topping is $1, additional toppings are 50 cents, premium toppings are $2 and sauces are 75 cents.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some of the more popular flavors are pistachio and key lime pie.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ice cream shop designs each dessert and gourmet product from scratch with a health-oriented focus including kosher, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, soy free, non-GMO and plant-based.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The concept was created by the husband and wife team of Angela \u201cAngie\u201d Fernandez and Dylan Finger in 2018.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe converted our dining area as a lab,\u201d Fernandez said. \u201cI started ordering new products, new ingredients, and superfoods. And really, I spent a lot of time understanding how you make ice cream from just nuts and coconut. I realized how amazing it still tasted and there was no need for animal suffering.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The business officially launched in October 2019 at Dadeland Mall. They stayed there for three months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For now, the ice cream truck is located at Brickell City Centre until April 13. The couple is hoping\u00a0 to stay at the outdoor mall for longer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fernandez and Finger hope to expand their business with a second ice cream truck, catering for events, new additions to the menu (such as pastries) and possibly a new location.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Angie\u2019s Epicurean is open Sunday Through Thursday from 1 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are you vegan but craving ice cream?
