The Student Life Department at Homestead Campus is organizing a donation drive to celebrate Purple Heart Day, a national holiday that honors veterans and fallen soldiers for their service on Aug. 7.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Acceptable donations include clothing, shoes, electronics, household items, small furniture, toys, books, phones, baby items and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students must contact the nonprofit organization Vietnam Veterans of America to schedule a pick-up for their donations. They must tell the company how many items they are donating, what the items are, and where they will be left for pick up.<\/span><\/p>\n
