Minimizing anger, sadness, anxiety, or fear can make you live an inauthentic life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We all need to be listened to and feel validated. We can not make ourselves or people happy with just a \u201ccheer up.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The most powerful antidote for depression and anxiety is knowing that we are genuinely heard and cared for by others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So next time you have someone expressing their feelings, stop parroting those motivational quotes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Change your favorite <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blissquote.com\/2019\/02\/good-vibes-quotes-boost-positivity.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">motivational phrases<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> like \u201cpositive vibes only!\u201d for \u201cI\u2019m here for you both good and bad.\u201d Move from \u201cfailure is not an option\u201d to \u201cfailure is a part of growth and success.\u201d Choose to <\/span><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/themindsjournal.com\/toxic-positivity-vs-support-validation\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">say<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cdescribe what you&#8217;re feeling, I&#8217;m listening\u201d instead of \u201cdon\u2019t think about it, stay positive!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Always remember that sometimes it\u2019s okay to cry and you shouldn\u2019t feel guilty about it. We all cry eventually.
