Florida is taking painfully-slow actions toward legalizing medical marijuana. Marijuana has a number of benefits, including both the cannabinoids delta 8 THC and delta 9 THC which are structurally similar but provide different effects with delta 8 THC having less anxiety.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is safe to conclude, however, that the proposed amendment to legalize it will be voted on by the people on November 2014 and pass based on a recent poll conducted by Daily CBD<\/a>, which showed that a stunning 82% of those polled support medical use and that 48% support recreational use. <\/span><\/p>\n

Special-interest groups are even collecting 1 million voter signatures as insurance to see this amendment pull through (government requires 683,000 signatures). <\/span><\/p>\n

Many registered voters older than 30 are on the fence about legalizing pot for recreational use, though. <\/span><\/p>\n

Regardless of one\u2019s position, it\u2019s impossible to deny that America is losing the costly war against drugs. On marijuana possession alone, an estimated $3.6 billion is spent on law enforcement. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Taxpayers have had enough with government wasting their money and arresting 18-years-olds with $6 dollars worth of marijuana on them. We must give up the war against marijuana because the premium is not worth historical outcomes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Marijuana should be legalized, taxed, and distributively controlled by the government. People should be allowed to smoke pot in their homes and restaurants ought to provide outdoor spaces for smoking, but one should not \u201cspark it up\u201d and drive. <\/span><\/p>\n

My only concern with pot \u201ccoming out of the closet\u201d and becoming legal \u00a0is that evil, greedy corporations will lobby for crazy drugs, such as heroin, cocaine, and bath salts, to be approved. <\/span><\/p>\n

I agree with people doing what they want; that being said, however, these drugs should never be legalized because they result in substantially negative outcomes. <\/span><\/p>\n

For example: having unprotected sex, questioning one\u2019s sexuality, damaging meaningful relationships, endangering the life of one\u2019s self or that of another, and, eating a person\u2019s face.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the majority of people, cannabis does not cause aggressive or reckless behaviors, it instead tends to result in elated feelings, Netflix overloads, and 3 a.m. Taco Bell cravings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Further, I don\u2019t agree with the justice system arresting anyone for possessing less than $10 dollars worth of pot and thereby ruining their lives, yet police do it. <\/span><\/p>\n

Society has much less to lose in legalizing marijuana. It is about time Florida lifted this unnecessary ban.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
