Antonio Delgado has been selected as the new vice president of innovation and technology partnerships at Miami Dade College. He started his new post on Aug. 13.<\/span><\/p>\n

Delgado, 36, is responsible for connecting faculty and students from all campuses with the latest technology by creating partnerships with companies like Tesla<\/span><\/a>, Microsoft, Amazon and IBM.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c[We] prepare students with the skills to get a job here locally, so that they can get a job that is high-paying here in our community,\u201d Delgado said.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the past six years, Delgado worked as the college-wide dean of the School of Engineering, Technology, and Design, Generation IT Program Manager, and as lead Instructor for the McKinsey Social Initiative at MDC.<\/span><\/p>\n

Delgado earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering from Universidad Tecnol\u00f3gica de La Habana in Havana, Cuba. He also received a master\u2019s degree in computer networks from the University of Westminster<\/span><\/a> in London, United Kingdom.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
