The Center for Literature and Theatre at Miami Dade College is working with The National Poetry Series to bring back the Paz Prize for Poetry. <\/span><\/p>\n

This contest requires an<\/span> unpublished book of poetry written originally in Spanish by an American resident.<\/span><\/p>\n

The winner will receive a $2,000 cash reward and their book will be published by Akashic books. <\/span><\/p>\n

To participate in this year\u2019s contest, all books must be submitted from May 1<\/span>st<\/span> to June 15.<\/span><\/p>\n

Richard Blanco, a well-known Cuban American Poet, will be judging this year\u2019s contest. <\/span><\/p>\n
