Urbana<\/em>,<\/a><\/span> the literary arts magazine at Eduardo J. Padr\u00f3n Campus, won a Pinnacle Award on Friday from the College Media Association in the Two-Year Literary Magazine of the Year category.<\/span><\/p>\n

Results were announced during the Associated Collegiate Press\/College Media Association Fall National College Media Convention that is being held virtually from Oct. 14-16. Winners were selected based on work published during the 2020-21 school <\/span>year.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re really happy and thrilled,\u201d said Emily Sendin, <\/span>Urbana<\/span><\/i>\u2019<\/span><\/i>s advisor. \u201cWe\u2019ve done a lot this past year by going from just a print magazine to being a media source, without losing our literary and arts focus and flavor.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Kendall Campus\u2019 <\/span>Miambiance<\/span><\/i><\/a><\/span>,<\/span> won second place in the category.<\/span><\/p>\n

Urbana<\/em> also won individual Pinnacles for Best Social Media Presence, Best Social Media Strategy and second place for Best Magazine Cover.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, they were awarded an <\/span>Innovation Pacemaker on Thursday<\/span>,<\/span><\/a> as well as two individual awards: first place in the Multimedia Story of the Year (blog category) and third place in the Best Use of Social Media: Social Media Promotion category.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
