We\u2019ve all played different kinds of games growing up, from Monopoly to The Game Of Life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now that the holidays are coming and spending time with friends and family is essential, no one wants to stare for hours into a phone screen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are five board games that will never get old and will make any gathering worthwhile:<\/span><\/p>\n

Clue<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Clue<\/span><\/a>, a murder mystery game, is one of my favorite board games to play throughout the whole year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Depending on which version you buy, you should have at least six characters: Dr. Orchid, Colonel Mustard, Professor Plum, Reverend John Green, Mrs. Peacock and Miss Scarlet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Among those six players, there are nine rooms and six murder weapons. The point of the game is to figure out who committed the murder, in what room and using what weapon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a fun game to play with family and friends because it involves teamwork to figure out who is the murderer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Operation<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Another board game that I loved to play growing up is Operation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is an interactive activity because you try your best to remove all foreign objects in your patient without touching the borders and creating a buzzing noise.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Each object is worth a certain amount of money and each slot is harder than the next to reach into because they become narrower the bigger the object to remove is.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This game not only helps you focus but it also gets a good laugh when you finally get that charlie horse out of the patient’s thigh.<\/span><\/p>\n

CandyLand<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

CandyLand is a racing game for all ages. It requires no reading and minimal counting skills in order to play. The end goal of CandyLand is to rescue the king of candy, KingKandy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In this game, you play as one of four gingerbread men and race each other through the forest to reach the end of the board which is The Candy Castle inhabited by KingKandy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Connect 4<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Connect 4 is one of the most common games you can play with your friends. Not only is it fun but it also helps you develop your problem solving skills strategically.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a basic math game in which you and another competitor take turns getting yellow and red checkers through a slot object. Whoever connects four checkers either horizontally, diagonally, or vertically wins the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trivial Pursuit<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Now, if you want to expand your thinking and test your knowledge about certain topics, playing Trivial Pursuit<\/span> is your best bet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trivial Pursuit is a game based on general knowledge and pop culture. Two to six players can play (teams accepted) and each individual must take their turn answering one question at a time. If they guess right, they obtain a piece of pie for the pie holder.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The game takes a longer time than usual to win but it is fun to see how much you know about something while also learning about it. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
