Nicole Bryant has been appointed as Homestead Campus\u2019 Honors College director. She began her post on Oct. 25.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bryant, 40, will advise, coach and mentor the campus\u2019 first cohort. The <\/span>inaugural class<\/span><\/span><\/a> will consist of 50 students who will start Honors College courses and activities next fall. A full class of 75 scholars will begin the following year.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI want to ensure that all students feel as if they have a chance to be represented here at the Honors College,\u201d said Bryant, who has worked at Homestead for more than 16 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the past 12 years, Bryant served as the campus\u2019 student life director. She has also worked as a program coordinator for campus administration and the office and outreach specialist for the Title V grant for the Viva El Exito Student Success Initiative.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bryant has a bachelor\u2019s degree in English literature and a master\u2019s in medical sociology both from the University of Miami. In 2011, she earned a doctorate of education degree in higher education leadership and organizational leadership from Nova Southeastern University.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
