The hybrid literary arts magazine at the Eduardo J. Padr\u00f3n Campus<\/span>\u2014<\/span>Urbana<\/span><\/i>\u2014<\/span><\/i>won a gold crown for the second straight year from the <\/span>Columbia Scholastic Press Association.<\/span><\/p>\n

Miambiance<\/span><\/i>, the literary arts magazine at Kendall Campus, was awarded a Silver Crown.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Both publications were awarded for overall excellence based on work published during the 2020-21 school year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Winners were announced at the CSPA\u2019s virtual ceremony on March 31.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u201cGetting a Gold Crown Award two years<\/span><\/a><\/span> in a row solidifies the quality of our publication and validates our work ethic, attention to detail and passion for storytelling,\u201d said Emily Sendin, <\/span>Urbana\u2019<\/span><\/i>s advisor.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, Urbana also won Gold Circle Individual Awards for Digital Media Essays, Non-Fiction Article, Non-Fiction Column, Photograph-Single Artistic Photograph, Open(free) Form Poetry, and Traditional Fiction.<\/span><\/p>\n
