Kendall Campus finished a $650,000 floor replacement project at the Theodore R. Gibson Health Center in early August.\u00a0 <\/span>

\n<\/span>The facility, which hosts the college\u2019s volleyball and men\u2019s and women\u2019s basketball teams, was last revamped in 1994. Renovations began last April<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Upgrades include new maple-hardwood flooring with better padding to prevent injuries, a dark blue border that matches the bleachers and a shark logo at center court.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so excited,\u201d said Alysia Dyer, the athletic director at Miami Dade College. \u201cIt\u2019s a big change and it makes us look more collegiate.\u201d<\/span>
