Meek Tribute<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a video biography of former MDC professor and congressional representative Carrie Meek, won an award in the History\/Biography film &amp; video category.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=FmBbFobIDWo\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Breaking The Silence<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a film featuring a student-led music composition created for a historical silent film, won awards in the education and craft editing for online film &amp; video categories.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tCKwgR9QOXg\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">From Dreams to Reality<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">The Ruston Academy Story <\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">won an award in the documentary online film &amp; video category for its feature on the history of the American school in Havana, Cuba, founded in 1920 by Hiram Ruston.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The winning team includes Rubalcava, executive producer Robert Parrondo, coordinating producer Tony Leal, audio engineer Armed Torrecilla, orchestral director Alberto Bade and executive producer Barry Gordon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Miami Dade College-TV won four Silver Davey Awards during the 18th annual Davey Awards virtual ceremony on Oct. 25.
