Twelve\u2019Len isn\u2019t your typical indie group. The eclectic band blends various genres\u2014hip-hop, alternative, soul and rock\u2014to provide listeners with an eccentric sound that is one of a kind.<\/p>\n
Fans of \u00a0Twelve\u2019Len are celebrating the recent release of the group\u2019s fourth album, PINK,<\/i> on Jan. 19. The album is available on Spotify and SoundCloud.<\/p>\n
The band, which has musical influences ranging from the Foo Fighters, Bob Marley, Outkast, Marvin Gaye, and Jimi Hendrix, consists of \u00a0lead singer and songwriter Vares Joseph, 23, drummer John Falco, 21, and guitarist Zach Fogarty.<\/p>\n
They formed in 2013 and the chemistry was instant. Twelve\u2019Len, created their first song \u201cSusanna\u201d in 30 minutes. Eventually they performed at various live shows and the rest is history.<\/p>\n
\u201c<\/b>Twelve\u2019Len is a feeling. An expression,\u201d Fogarty said. \u201c It\u2019s everybody and everything. Twelve is the number of perfection. Len is short for lens. The eye. The almighty light. The all seeing eye. Seeing the future. Speaking the future.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n
The band strives to not only provide feel-good music for the people, but also to inspire, spread positive vibes, and help anyone trying to find themselves.<\/p>\n
Following the success of their previous albums, Blue, Yellow,<\/i> and Silver, <\/i>they finalize the color\/mood scheme with their fourth album PINK<\/i>, which symbolizes feminism and is also the name of the woman who the album is based on.<\/p>\n
Featuring five tracks, PINK<\/i> tells the story of a boy that falls in love with a dancer and the ups and downs of their relationship. The first three songs maintain an upbeat tempo with a cheerful tone reflecting the butterfly stage of the relationship. \u201cYou and I\u201d is a lively track that depicts a conflict with his business partner\u2019s disapproval of his relationship and the love he has for his significant other. When his love is put to the test, he proves that love triumphs all.<\/p>\n
However, the second half of the album transitions into a more personal and intimate vibe, with a slower tempo representing the stage that reality kicks in. \u201cSeattle\u201d is a somber track inspired by a friend\u2019s break-up when his relationship is forced to an end because his girlfriend moves to Seattle. Although breakups can be difficult, the song emphasizes appreciating the good memories shared with someone. The album concludes with a smooth interlude with intentions to convey that you win some and you lose some, but love is never lost.<\/p>\n
PINK<\/i> is sure to impress fans and solidify Twelve\u2019Len in the South Florida music scene.<\/p>\n
