This past year, gamers have explored a nuclear wasteland, traveled to a galaxy far, far away, and even became Batman the Dark Knight himself. \u00a0It will be known as one of the best years for videogames.<\/p>\n

As we enter the New Year, let\u2019s look back at the top five video games of 2015.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Fallout 4<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Bethesda Softworks has continuously developed many successful games. So when the announcement of Fallout 4<\/i> took place, fans were thrilled and could not wait to return to the nuclear wasteland, also known as the Commonwealth. In fact, because the game was so popular, Bethesda released the Pip-Boy edition, which comes with a real life Pip-Boy, which can connect to your iPhone. Compared to Bethesda\u2019s previous entry in the series\u2014Fallout 3<\/i>\u2014<\/i>Fallout 4<\/i> has so many new features. One amazing feature allows players to build their own settlements using anything found within the Commonwealth. Not only can players create their own settlements, but they can also get a glimpse of how life was within the Commonwealth before the bombs were dropped. With a new story and many side quests to complete, players can become entranced while playing Bethesda\u2019s new game Fallout 4<\/i>. Bethesda has made Fallout 4<\/i>, by far, one of the top games of 2015 and my personal favorite as well.<\/p>\n

    1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain <\/b><\/em>
      \n<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      As many of us have come to know, the Metal Gear series has spanned the lifetime of many gamers. Many have grown up fighting the Big Boss in a game that was revolutionary in its time, being one of the first games with a stealth engine. Metal Gear Solid V<\/i><\/span><\/a> is Hideo Kojima\u2019s monumental conclusion to the Metal Gear series. With great mechanics and a story that keeps you on edge, Metal Gear Solid V<\/i> is an easy addition to the list. Players will play as Big Boss for the first time, where you can command, manage, and conquer Mother Base while using everything at your disposal. \u00a0The gameplay is superb with an open world aspect that is perfect in size along with gorgeous graphics. Metal Gear Solid V<\/i> is Hideo Kojima\u2019s last installment and a mighty fine one at that. This is a definite addition to the Top 5 of 2015 list.<\/p>\n

      1. Destiny: The Taken King<\/b><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Destiny<\/i> was released on Sept. 4 of 2014 and was developed by High Moon Studios and Bungie. Although the game was short, many fans stuck around waiting for the expansion to be released. On Sept. 15 of 2015 Destiny: The Taken King<\/i> was released and many fans were thrilled. Bungie has always been known to bring success within the gaming community, and with Destiny: The Taken King, <\/i>they have done just that. Taking multiplayer gaming to a whole new level, players can come together, and guard the light from the darkness, while attempting to defeat Crota\u2019s father, the Taken King. This continuation of Destiny\u2019s<\/i> story can leave players shocked with a surprising twist. Together, players must defeat multiple enemies to guard the light and become the ultimate guardian. There are also multiple online games players can play. There is Vanguard, where you form a team to complete missions as a unit, Crucible, where players can test their skills while defeating other players, and there is even Sparrow racing, where players can use their Sparrows to race any opponent. Destiny: The Taken King<\/i> is by far an amazing game with a beautiful open world along with incredible things to discover.<\/p>\n

        1. Batman: Arkahm Knight<\/b><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          The Joker has fallen, Batman has disappeared, and all seems well in Gotham. Until Scarecrow and his mysterious apprentice appear with the intent to defeat Batman and leave Gotham in chaos. Although all seems lost, Batman does return with his sidekick, Oracle, to defeat Scarecrow and his apprentice. Batman: Arkahm Knight<\/i> gives players the chance to roam around Gotham as the Dark Knight himself with the objective to save Gotham from total doom. Rocksteady Studios has beautifully developed the gloomy city and captured Batman and his gadgets perfectly. Any fan that loves Batman will surely love this game, I certainly do myself. Not only do you fight Scarecrow and his minions, but you can also find yourself in numerous side missions with several other characters known from many Batman comics. You can rescue Catwoman from the Riddler, or fight alongside with Dick Grayson, and, as always, have Alfred help you save Gotham from total destruction. Rocksteady has also introduced the Batmobile. You can use the famous car in numerous missions to blow through walls and catch villains. As a Batman fan myself, this game can be very enjoyable. Being able to experience the world of Gotham will always have a soft spot in my heart, along with interacting with characters I can only dream to meet.<\/p>\n

          1. Star Wars Battlefront <\/b><\/em>
            \n<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Star Wars Battlefront<\/i> allows gamers to experience a galaxy far, far away. Fans are able to explore an entire universe they have come to know and love for most of their lives. Not only are they able to view and explore this world that was perfectly designed by EA and DICE, but they are also able to play and defeat as many of the characters fans can only dream about becoming. Star Wars<\/span><\/a> Battlefront<\/i> is mostly known for its multiplayer. Players can play online against the Empire (or Rebellion) and play through many missions with friends or even enemies. As a bonus players can also use many of the blasters seen within the films and even use a lightsaber as a Jedi or Sith Lord. Although Star Wars Battlefront <\/i>does make my inner geek smile, it still does not deserve a spot as number one within this list.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
