Miami Dade College students can now apply to become Civic Leadership Fellows through the Institute for Civic Engagement & Democracy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The program allows students to work as part-time employees for local non-profits partnered with iCED to promote causes like education, public health and sustainability.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Some of the organizations include <\/span>Feeding South Florida<\/span><\/a><\/span>, <\/span>Youth Co-Op Inc<\/span><\/a><\/span>, <\/span>Florida Immigrant Coalition<\/span><\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami<\/span><\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Applicants must be enrolled in at least six credits, have a minimum 2.0 GPA and qualify for financial aid and the deferral work-study program.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants, who must commit to working 10 to 25 hours per week for at least two semesters, will be paid $14 an hour.<\/span><\/p>\n
