For the third straight year, <\/span>Urbana, <\/span><\/i>the student-led hybrid literary arts magazine at the Eduardo J. Padr\u00f3n Campus has earned a Gold Crown from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.<\/span><\/p>\n

Volume 15, which featured a <\/span>Quincea\u00f1era <\/span><\/i>theme, received the award based on its overall excellence. The work was published during the 2021-2022 academic year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Winners were announced on March 9 during the College Media Association\u2019s Spring National College Media Convention in New York City.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>Urbana<\/span><\/i> winning the Gold Crown was the best way to end this phase of the magazine,\u201d said Maria Alejandra Albarracin, who serves as <\/span>Urbana\u2019s<\/span><\/i> co-editor-in-chief. \u201cIt was a lot of hard work and effort and it is great to see everyone recognized.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

This past October, Volume 15 earned the publication its first magazine Pacemaker Award from the Associated Collegiate Press and a first-place <\/span>Pinnacle Award<\/span><\/a><\/span> from the CMA.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
