{"id":34483,"date":"2023-04-28T14:34:17","date_gmt":"2023-04-28T18:34:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mdcthereporter.com\/staging\/8357\/?p=34483"},"modified":"2023-04-28T14:34:17","modified_gmt":"2023-04-28T18:34:17","slug":"hialeah-campus-selects-new-student-life-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mdcthereporter.com\/staging\/8357\/hialeah-campus-selects-new-student-life-director\/","title":{"rendered":"Hialeah Campus Selects New Student Life Director"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jordan Chang was appointed as the new student life director at Hialeah Campus on March 13.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chang, 32, will manage the department\u2019s budget, supervise staff and promote events and programs to increase student engagement on campus.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI\u2019m very excited to take on this role,\u201d Chang said. \u201cMy previous experiences and familiarity\u2026will assist me in executing quality programs and events for our students.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prior to Miami Dade College, he worked at Florida Atlantic University from 2013-2015 as a graduate assistant in the office of diversity &amp; multicultural affairs and as the interim multicultural specialist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the past eight years, he worked at Sam Houston State University. First as the multicultural student services coordinator and most recently as the assistant director of the center for diversity &amp; intercultural affairs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chang earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in political science and government and a master\u2019s in\u00a0 educational leadership and administration from Florida Atlantic
