Arquimedes \u201cArchie\u201d Rivero, an international relations and economics student at Wolfson Campus, was appointed as the new Student Government Association Board of Trustees representative on May 10.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rivero, who will serve as the SGA President at his campus during the 2023-24 academic year, will represent the student body at all eight Miami Dade College campuses during the monthly Board of Trustees meetings.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI first want to express how honored I am to serve our college,\u201d Rivero said. \u201cI aim to continue working towards our college\u2019s mission of uplifting students.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The 18-year-old graduated from Doral Academy Preparatory School in 2022. He aspires to work as a diplomat for the United Nations Human Rights Council.\u00a0<\/span>
