ACCESS Services at Kendall Campus <\/span><\/span><\/a>is hosting an art competition to raise awareness for the diverse abilities people with disabilities have. The deadline for submissions is Oct. 13.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Entries can include drawings, paintings, multimedia, photography, sculptures and digital art.<\/span><\/p>\n

To participate, Miami Dade College students <\/span>can submit their work, accompanied with an artistic statement expressing the meaning of their piece, to the front desk at ACCESS Services in Room 2121.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All work will be displayed on the first floor of the Learning Commons (building 2) from Oct. 16-25.<\/span><\/p>\n

Winners will be announced at the Fred Shaw Plaza on Oct. 25 at noon.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first-place winner will receive a <\/span>$500 tuition grant and be featured in Volume 34 of <\/span>Miambiance<\/span><\/i>, the arts and literature magazine at Kendall Campus. Second and third place will receive $300 and $100 tuition grants respectively.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
