He started the position in July.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His responsibilities include assisting with practice, recruiting and strength and condition training.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis is where coaching has taken me,\u201d Miller said. \u201cHopefully, further along, I\u2019ll be head coach here at Miami Dade.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 52-year-old has had basketball coaching stints at various stops since 2001 including at the Boys &amp; Girls Club in Ohio, the Metro Atlanta YMCA, World Changers Church Youth Academy in Atlanta, Melbourne Central Catholic High School and Calvary Christian School in Kentucky.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He has also coached baseball at the Paideia School in Atlanta and Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, Miller, who has an associate in arts degree in physical education from Sinclair Community College and a bachelor&#8217;s degree from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, has owned\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.onethreefitnesstraining.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One Three Fitness Training<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a gym in Pompano Beach, since 2008\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Veteran basketball coach Mario Miller\u00a0has been selected as the assistant women&#8217;s basketball coach at Miami Dade College.
