Campus.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She started the position on Jan. 2.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Patino will serve as a mentor for students and collaborate with campuses to expand college-wide student life activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c[This position] gives me the opportunity to not only engage with the students and foster a vibrant community of inclusivity, but also promote leadership opportunities and provide a more supportive environment for their personal and academic growth,\u201d Patino said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prior to her current position, the 38-year-old served as an assistant to the senior director of campus administration from 2014 to 2021 and as an assistant to the campus president at North Campus for two years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Patino has also served as an adjunct faculty in the social science department since 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She previously served as a special assistant to United States Florida Senator George LeMieux for one year and as an executive assistant\/office manager in the county commissioner\u2019s office under Lynda Bell from 2011 to 2014.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Patino earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in international relations in 2009 and master\u2019s degree in public administration in 2017, both from Florida International
