Miami Dade College softball players <\/span>Alexis Ortega<\/span><\/a><\/span>, Gabriela Luz, Carina Amarilla and Ty Marie Cervantes were selected to the <\/span>Citrus Conference Second-Team<\/span><\/a><\/span> by the Florida College System Athletic Association.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ortega, an infielder, posted a .279 batting average with four home runs and 28 RBI; Luz, a catcher, had a team-leading .294 batting average and Cervantes, a first baseman, had a .291 batting average with two home runs and 14 RBI.<\/span><\/p>\n

Amarilla, a starting pitcher, had a 6-12 record with a 4.90 earned run average and 88 strikeouts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
