The Louise O. Gerrits Theater at Wolfson Campus, 25 N.E. Second St<\/span>.<\/span>, will host a production of <\/span>Hadestown: Teen Edition <\/span><\/i>by students from<\/span> The New World School of the Arts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Viewings of the folk opera will take place on the eighth floor of the 5000 building on May 9 at 7:30 p.m., May 10 at 2 p.m., May 16 at 7:30 p.m. and May 17 at 2 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hadestown <\/span><\/i>explores two intertwining love stories from Greek mythology\u2014Orpheus, Eurydice and the gods Hades and Persephone\u2014that invite audiences to the underworld and back.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cPeople look at this play as Orpheus\u2019 story. But the last person on stage telling the story is Eurydice. She’s trying to break free, it’s her tragedy,\u201d said Silas Hoover, the production\u2019s director. \u201cThrough story, we begin to better understand our world and begin to see opportunities where we fail to see those opportunities.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

General admission is $15 per show; admission for students and seniors is $10<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
