In February, the Florida Department of Education tabbed<\/span> Miami Dade College as one of 10\u00a0 Florida Collegiate Purple Star Campuses.<\/span><\/p>\n

The distinction, which is for three academic years, is bestowed on colleges that demonstrate a commitment to supporting military families.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Miami Dade College serves nearly 1,000 veteran students and helps with services such as academic advising, registration, study areas and student success coaches.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Four MDC campuses<\/span>\u2014<\/span>North, Wolfson, West and Kendall<\/span>\u2014<\/span>have<\/span> Veteran & Military Service centers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
