After two years of renovations<\/span><\/a>, the Freedom Tower reopened for public visits and tours on Oct. 15.<\/span><\/p>\n

Located at 600 Biscayne Blvd., the historic landmark\u2019s reopening was celebrated <\/span>during a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 16.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Visitors can check out exhibitions that showcase themes of migration, identity and freedom.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Exhibitions include Libertad<\/em> and We Carry Our Homes With Us,<\/em> a showcase that details the experience of Cuban exiles being processed through the tower during the 1960s and 70s when it served as an immigration center.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Freedom Tower is open Wednesday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. General admission is $18. Seniors 62 or older pay $14. Children aged 7-18 get a discounted price of $12.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Admission is free every Sunday and Thursday evenings from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Miami Dade College students, faculty and staff can visit the tower for free by showing a valid MDC ID.<\/span><\/p>\n
