The <\/span>Earth Ethics Institute at Miami Dade College<\/span><\/a> is accepting applications for the Narrow Ridge Literacy Experience in Washburn, Tennessee until March 21.<\/span><\/p>\n

Applicants must be a first-year student, submit a 300-500 word essay, a letter of recommendation from a faculty member and a copy of a government-issued ID.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, they must provide a copy of their unofficial transcript and be enrolled in six credit hours during the summer semester.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Selected students will learn about eco-justice, earth literacy and various sustainable practices through hands-on activities. The trip will take place from May 3 to May 10.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants are expected to complete a project in the fall semester after the trip, based on their experience in the program.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
