He is played by Ryan Gosling.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With no memory of who he is or why he\u2019s on the ship, the only things he is left with are the corpses of his crewmates and a desperation to understand his situation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As Ryland begins to recover his memory, he discovers that his presence in space is not accidental. He has been sent to solve the mystery of a strange substance that threatens to extinguish the sun, even if that means sacrificing his own life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His mission takes an unexpected turn when he realizes he is not completely alone. An extraterrestrial, who is also trying to save his own planet, becomes an unlikely ally.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From this encounter, the film transforms a survival story into a reflection on cooperation, trust and empathy beyond any boundary.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the film finds a balance between comedy and vulnerability, two themes commonly found in the duo\u2019s previous movies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The screenplay, developed in collaboration with Andy Weir, maintains an optimistic tone even during tense moments, allowing audiences to grow attached to the characters and their mission.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of the film\u2019s greatest strengths is how it breaks the stereotype of the perfect astronaut. The song emotionally accompanies one of the most significant moments of the story, elevating its impact without feeling forced.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although the film incorporates extensive scientific vocabulary, it does not prevent viewers unfamiliar with science from understanding the key points of the plot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Project Hail Mary<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is, at its core, a story about unity, loyalty, and hope in difficult times.
