The question of whether same-sex marriage ought to be legalized or not should not be bogged down by politics or conservative mindsets. Just because marriage has traditionally been the unity of a man and a women does not mean it cannot be redefined. <\/span><\/p>\n

The legalization of gay marriage ultimately comes down to feeling and nothing else. <\/span><\/p>\n

Who are we to deny the romantic and intimate love two individuals may feel for each other? <\/span><\/p>\n

People like to think that gay feelings and actions are simple strays from the norm that are easy to correct, but that\u2019s completely false.<\/span><\/p>\n

If that were true then why is it that homosexuals are so passionate about their cause? <\/span><\/p>\n

If homosexuality really was a wrong, correctable behavior, then why is it that people are willing to put their dignity and even their lives on the line for it? <\/span><\/p>\n

It takes a tremendous amount of courage to embrace one\u2019s own homosexuality. <\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the growing social acceptance, homosexuality is still often looked down upon. Gay teenagers frequently get placed into a deep sense of alienation and may even feel pushed to take their own lives as a result of the supposed \u201ccurse\u201d they\u2019ve been born with.<\/span><\/p>\n

No rational human being would put his or herself through such misery if that individual did not believe the cause was worth the struggle.<\/span><\/p>\n

Just because something looks strange does not make it evil.<\/span><\/p>\n

I really do not see how any harm can be inflicted by the sight of two homosexuals together. Love is never something to be frowned upon. <\/span><\/p>\n

Their love is just as pure as the love between heterosexuals. <\/span><\/p>\n

Contrary to what many may believe, children are not being poisoned by the exposure to homosexuals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Homosexuality is not something that is just randomly picked up or something that people want to pick up given the lack of societal acceptance, so why would children be negatively affected?<\/span><\/p>\n

Allowing gay couples to adopt children can only serve to help society. <\/span><\/p>\n

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a couple wanting to raise a child. <\/span><\/p>\n

What difference does it make to have hetereosexual or homosexual parents when all that matters is that the child is receiving the proper amount of love and support he or she needs to thrive in this world?<\/span><\/p>\n

Years from now, people are going to look back at the controversy surrounding same-sex marriage and laugh about how ridiculous society was in questioning its legitimacy as it did with the African-American\u2019s civil rights movement \u00a0a few decades ago.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
