Foreign countries have different beginnings and positions in this modern world. Australia is one of those countries, so it\u2019s interesting when they make a movie about guerrilla warfare and rebels in almost the same manner as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Red Dawn<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> while still being so unique.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tomorrow, When The War Began<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is what Red Dawn was missing. There\u2019s no Thor or Patrick Swayze leading a group of eight high-schoolers. Instead we have Ellie (Caitlin Stasey) at the helm, a teenage girl. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this movie, the kids go camping in the woods and therefore were not present during the invasion. This gives us time to get to know these characters instead of having the war thrown at us within the first minute, and that\u2019s the strength of this movie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tomorrow, When The War Began<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> doesn\u2019t rush through the psychological conversion of kid to soldier, so the drama is more intense. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each kid represents a different kind of character from high school (the bad boy, the religious type, etc.) without being a stereotype. When they become freedom fighters, it feels like every other kid can to.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019m not saying one is better than the other, but I am saying you should give this one a look before the new <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Red Dawn<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
