{"id":5630,"date":"2012-09-11T14:45:17","date_gmt":"2012-09-11T18:45:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mdcthereporter.com\/?p=5630"},"modified":"2016-04-18T14:49:33","modified_gmt":"2016-04-18T18:49:33","slug":"mdc-galleries-starting-fresh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mdcthereporter.com\/staging\/8357\/mdc-galleries-starting-fresh\/","title":{"rendered":"MDC Galleries Starting Fresh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Miami Dade College\u2019s newly named Museum of Art + Design, previously known as the Art Gallery System, debuted it\u2019s 2012-13 season on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. with two acclaimed artists: Jaimie Warren and Elena Sisto.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Warren\u2019s exhibition, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The WHOAS Female Tragedy<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, will showcase several works from the artist collected throughout the years, such as historical paintings, photoshopped collages of art-historical paintings and visual pairings of pop culture icons, as well as collaborations with other artists.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sisto\u2019s exhibition, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Between Silver Light and Orange Shadow<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, will showcase 28 paintings created over the past 10 years.
