100 Montaditos\u2014with locations in Midtown, Miami Beach and South Miami\u2014has made its way into the heart of fine dining with its delicious food and affordable menu.<\/p>\n
From the moment you enter the restaurant, 100 Montaditos takes you and your wallet on a vacation to Spain. The vibrant red walls, trendy music playing in the background and wide selection of 100 different one dollar mini sandwiches make room for enjoyment without having to think about the bill.<\/p>\n
As if they weren\u2019t cheap enough on a normal day, every Wednesday they have the \u201cDollarmania\u201d promotion, in which every item on the menu is a dollar\u2014except for salads which are $2.<\/p>\n
From their \u201cregular montaditos\u201d selection, I ordered a Spanish omelet with tomato and olive oil; from the \u201cnew montaditos\u201d selection, I ordered one with salmon and cream cheese and one with chistorra and\u00a0 arugula.<\/p>\n
The Spanish omelet montadito was delicious; the baguette was crunchy and warm, it embraced the omelet lightly, and the tomato gave it the perfect touch of tanginess and freshness the sandwich needed. I accompanied this montadito with Spanish Brava potatoes, which to my dismay, were burnt and cold on the inside.<\/p>\n
From my other selections, the salmon montadito and the mozzarella pesto were both extraordinary. The salmon montadito was perfect from end to end; the cream cheese blended perfectly with the salmon and the arugula, enhancing the salmon\u2019s smoked flavor yet reducing the bitterness of the arugula. I also had the best French fries I have ever tasted; the fries were crunchy on the outside and soft and tasty on the inside. They were accompanied by ketchup, brava, mojo picon, and alioli sauces.<\/p>\n
100 Montaditos is a must go for anyone living in Miami looking for an affordable and delicious place to eat. It is on the top-ten best restaurants on my list, and its dollar menu most definitely tops McDonalds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
