Whether you backpacked across Europe, or stayed at home accompanied by your Netflix account, your summer was eventful. As the fall semester creeps in, it is time to say goodbye to the laid back summer vibes and welcome the drop in humidity. <\/span><\/p>\n

One thing you might not be quite as ready to let go of are some of the biggest hits this season had to offer. These are some of \u00a0the songs that dominated the charts this summer. They made you dance, then made you hate them for being so overplayed. What better way to wrap things up than by revisiting these pop gems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lean On \u2013 Major Lazer & DJ Snake<\/b> (feat. M\u00d8<\/b>) – (Peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100) <\/span><\/p>\n

Popular EDM group Major Lazer collaborated with DJ Snake, and together they created a ridiculously infectious electronic song for the masses. Danish singer M\u00d8\u2019s peculiar vocals alongside the stellar production gave \u201cLean On\u201d a sure spot on the charts, and on the stereos of many.<\/span><\/p>\n

Watch Me (Whip\/Nae Nae) \u2013 Silent\u00f3<\/b> (Peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100)<\/span><\/p>\n

Remember during the 00\u2019s those genius hip-hop songs that also featured signature dances? Well they came back, even if for a brief moment, with Silent\u00f3\u2019s debut single \u201cWatch Me\u201d. The straightforward song even alludes to the famous \u201cStanky Legg,\u201d as well as Soulja Boy\u2019s \u201cCrank That\u201d from a few years back.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix)<\/b> \u2013 <\/span>OMI<\/b> (Peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100)<\/span><\/p>\n

Jamaican singer OMI had his first hit with a remix of his song \u201cCheerleader.\u201d This sunny reggae and deep house fusion number is an obvious summer hit. Just watch its music video, set at a beach party with the singer surrounded by attractive women. With this hit,OMI captured the ideal summer spirit. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bad Blood \u2013 Taylor Swift feat. Kendrick Lamar <\/b>(Peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100)<\/span><\/p>\n

Fan of Swift or not, \u201cBad Blood\u201d was a huge success for the singer. The single, from mega hit record 1989, featured guest vocals by Kendrick Lamar, which was a huge change for Swift, who was formerly known for her pop-country crossover style. The song was also a huge success due to its star-studded spy-themed music video. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Can\u2019t Feel My Face \u2013 The Weeknd<\/b> (Peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100)<\/span><\/p>\n

Critics love this Canadian R&B innovator, and it appears he is finally getting the same reaction commercially. All it took was this bouncy and slick 80\u2019s inspired track. The single stems from the artist\u2019s sophomore album, entitled Beauty Behind the Madness.<\/span><\/p>\n

Drag Me Down \u2013 One Direction<\/b> (Debuted at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100)<\/span><\/p>\n

British-Irish boyband One Direction pulled a Beyonc\u00e9 with their latest single \u201cDrag Me Down,\u201d releasing it by surprise. This catchy pop rock number is the lead single to their upcoming fifth record, which will be their first without former member Zayn Malik. The band is set to take a break in 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trap Queen \u2013 Fetty Wap<\/b> (Peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100)<\/span><\/p>\n

Fetty Wap\u2019s debut single \u201cTrap Queen\u201d was a massive hit. It took some time for the song to gain attention, but once it did, it was inescapable. Initially released in April of 2014, a re-release of<\/span><\/p>\n

this single gave it the boost it needed to put this rapper in the limelight. <\/span><\/p>\n

While these songs may still be blasting out your speakers, it is time to turn the page and let the summer go.
