{"id":712,"date":"2015-09-15T13:00:39","date_gmt":"2015-09-15T17:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mdcthereporter.com\/?p=712"},"modified":"2021-07-14T14:40:30","modified_gmt":"2021-07-14T18:40:30","slug":"miami-culinary-institute-students-receive-apprenticeship-in-spain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mdcthereporter.com\/staging\/8357\/miami-culinary-institute-students-receive-apprenticeship-in-spain\/","title":{"rendered":"Miami Culinary Institute Students Receive Internships In Spain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Miami Dade College students Marcelo Sardi<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00f1<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a and Sachi Statz were selected by Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, in Bilbao, Spain to participate in their apprenticeship program. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sardi<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00f1<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a and Statz, students in the Miami Culinary Institute, were selected by the BBVA to serve an apprenticeship under the Roca Brothers, the chefs and sommelier of the famous<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/El_Celler_de_Can_Roca\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"> El Celler de Can Roca<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which was named \u201cbest restaurant in the world\u201d in 2013 by Restaurant Magazine.<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The BBVA and its U.S. subsidiary, BBVA Compass, is sponsoring the four-\u00admonth long internship. It includes the coverage of the interns\u2019 travel and lodging expenses. Sardi<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00f1<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a and Statz were chosen from 10 students who helped the Roca brothers and their staff in preparing meals for at least 200 BBVA Compass clients and invited guests aboard the SeaFairMiami, a luxury yacht on Biscayne Bay. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Miami Dade College students Marcelo Sardi\u00f1a and Sachi Statz were selected by Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, in Bilbao, Spain to participate in their apprenticeship program.
