Six Miami Dade College professors will be reading their literature at the Miami Book Fair International.<\/p>\n
Preston Allen<\/strong><\/p>\n Preston Allen will be reading from his book Jesus Boy on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. in Prometeo Theater, located in building one of Wolfson Campus in Room 1101.<\/p>\n Some of Allen\u2019s previous works include All or Nothing<\/em>, and Churchboys and Other Sinners<\/em>.<\/p>\n Allen teaches creative writing at North Campus.<\/p>\n Alfredo Triff<\/strong><\/p>\n Philosophy professor, Alfredo Triff, will be reading from his new book, Higado Al Ensayo<\/em> at this year\u2019s Miami Book Fair International on Monday, Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m. in Room 3209.<\/p>\n The reading will be in Spanish.<\/p>\n Triff\u2019s previous works include Pulpa<\/em> and Miami Arts Explosion: The New Times Column<\/em>.<\/p>\n Triff teaches philosophy at Wolfson Campus.<\/p>\n Octavio Roca<\/strong><\/p>\n Octavio Roca, chairperson of the arts and philosophy department at North Campus, will be reading from his book Cuban Ballet<\/em> on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 3:30 p.m. in Room 7106.<\/p>\n Among his works are Scotto, More Than a Diva<\/em> and American Dance: A Constantly Evolving Tradition<\/em>.<\/p>\n Roca teaches philosophy at North Campus.<\/p>\n Michael Hettich<\/strong><\/p>\n Professor Michael Hettich will be reading from his book, Like Happiness<\/em> on Saturday, Nov. 20 at 1:30 p.m. in Room 3410.<\/p>\n Among Hettich\u2019s previous works are Flock and Shadow: New and Selected Poems, Swimmer Dreams<\/em> and Singing with My Father<\/em>.<\/p>\n Hettich teaches English and creative writing at Wolfson Campus. He is also the co-adviser for Wolfson\u2019s literary magazine, Metromorphosis<\/em>.<\/p>\n John Adkins<\/strong><\/p>\n John Adkins will be reading from his new book Animals Get Scared Too, Just Like You!<\/em> at the Children\u2019s Alley on Friday, Nov. 19 at 10:30 a.m. and on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 12:30 p.m. and at 4:15 p.m.<\/p>\n Adkins is a professor and chairperson of the arts and philosophy department at Kendall Campus.<\/p>\n Geoffrey Philp<\/strong><\/p>\n Geoffrey Philp, chairperson of the college prep department at North Campus, will participate in this year\u2019s Miami Book Fair International by reading from his new poetry book, Dub Wise<\/em> on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 1 p.m. in Room 3410.<\/p>\n Philp\u2019s earlier works consist of Uncle Obadiah and Alien, Grandpa Sydney’s Anancy Stories<\/em>and Twelve Poems and A Story for Christmas<\/em>.<\/p>\n Philp teaches creative writing and English Composition at North Campus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Six Miami Dade College professors will be reading their literature at the Miami Book Fair International.
