Former <\/span>The Reporter<\/span><\/i> photo editor Akeem Brunson has landed a full-time job as a multimedia journalist for the CBS station in Fort Myers, Florida as part of WINK-TV. <\/span><\/p>\n

He moved in August to Fort Myers to start his position.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brunson, who worked at <\/span>The Reporter<\/span><\/i> during its inaugural year in 2010, said his reporting roots at Miami Dade College North Campus planted a seed for his growth in journalism. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>The Reporter<\/span><\/i> started my passion,\u201d Brunson said. \u201dIt prepared me for starting a story and tell stories in the most effective way possible and truthfully, of course.\u201d \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Before working for WINK-TV, Brunson, 27, worked at the <\/span>Sun Sentinel<\/span><\/span><\/i><\/a> newspaper in Broward and at CBS 4 Miami as a videographer.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
