Public safety officials are on the lookout for thieves who have stolen at least nine wallets from Miami Dade College students at the Niles Trammell Building in the Kendall Campus since July, according to public safety reports. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The thefts have occurred at the computer courtyard and the library, both are located in the 2000 building. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe encourage all our students to be aware of their surroundings, and if they see, hear or know something, they should say something,\u201d said Robin Starks, the chief of public safety at Kendall Campus.<\/a><\/p>\n

All the victims have been female students. In most cases, the victims said they left their belongings unattended, according to incident reports. <\/span><\/p>\n

Among the items reported taken from the wallets: credit cards, driver’s licenses, an MDC student ID, a social security card, a birth certificate, and small amounts of cash. <\/span><\/p>\n

The first incident \u00a0happened on July 7, two incidents were reported on July 13, two more incidents happened on Sept. 1, and another pair of incidents were reported on Sept. 7. The most recent thefts happened on Sept. 8 and Sept. 12.<\/span><\/p>\n
