Nicole Encinas won a $300 bookstore scholarship through the Virtual College\u2019s Instagram contest, Around the World-Online! Encinas entered the contest by posting a photo of her sitting in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. The contest winner was chosen from a random selection on Aug. 10.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI will travel again soon, but this time I am staying until I earn an RN [registered nurse] in nursing,\u201d Encinas said. <\/span><\/p>\n

In order to participate, students had to follow the new account MDCVirtualCollege on Instagram <\/a><\/span>and post a photo of themselves, geotag their location and tag the Virtual College to show everyone where they had visited while taking their summer courses.
