Barbara Pryor will serve as the North Campus director of Retention and Transition Services. She started her new post on <\/span>Nov. 14 <\/span>after six years of service as the director of Single Stop.<\/span><\/p>\n

In her new position, she will develop and evaluate the Advisement and Career Department, the ACCESS Department and the TRIO program, all of which are part of Student Support Services.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pryor said she is excited about the opportunity to work on retention and transition goals with an interdisciplinary group of colleagues <\/span><\/p>\n

During her time at Miami Dade College, Pryor has been responsible for launching the Single Stop program and other retention services, which has leveraged $35 million in benefits for students. <\/span><\/p>\n

With a master\u2019s in public administration from Nova Southeastern University and a bachelor\u2019s from Florida A&M University, she has another 14 years of experience in nonprofit sectors, including student retention initiatives and grant development.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
