Miami Dade College student Alexander Rey was selected as the winner of the second annual DREAM Big for College $1,000 student design contest.

The purpose of the contest—sponsored by the Achieving the Dream organization—is to inspire current and future students to finish college by designing an image that portrays the road to finishing college.

Rey’s image will be printed on tote bags to be given out at Achieving the Dream’s Annual Meeting for Student Success in Anaheim, California.

Rey, 32, is a graphic design major at the Kendall Campus. He is expected to graduate by Spring 2014.
