Summer Registration Paused For Two Weeks

Miami Dade College will pause summer term registration until April 26 due to changes in the summer semester’s calendar.

During this period, students will not be able to: add or drop courses, change terms, as well as submit tuition waivers, Florida Shines or admission applications.

Students can still register for classes, but their request will not go through until the period ends.

Anyone taking classes through MDC Online can complete a registration request form in the meantime. After the period ends, the MDC Online Student Support Team will fulfill the student’s registration request.

The College is creating a similar form for non-MDC Online students taking credit courses. Students will receive an email from their advisor with updates.

“There will be plenty of time to register when the system is brought back up with the shift in the start of summer,” said Juan Mendieta, director of communications at MDC.

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, the College changed the summer term calendar to run from June 1 to Aug. 21.
