Teatro Prometeo To Perform Cyrano Mío At Wolfson

Teatro Prometeo at The Center for Literature and Theatre at Miami Dade College will perform an adaptation of Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac, Cyrano Mío.

The performance, which will include English subtitles, will take place July 12-13 at 8:30 p.m. at Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. Second Ave., Room 4102.

The original play, Cyrano de Bergerac, is a fictional story based on a man with a fairly large nose that has all the qualities of a Renaissance man but considers himself too ugly to confess to the woman he loves, Roxane. The adaptation, written by Iliana Prieto and Cristina Rebull, is revised to show the past, present and future from when the story takes place.

The play will be featured in the program for the 28th International Hispanic Theatre Festival of Miami. Cyrano Mío features graduates from the Teatro Prometeo’s Conservatory in Theatre Arts program.

Tickets are available to purchase online at www.prometeotheatre.com, by phone or at the theatre. General admission is $30, and students pay $25.
