Artist Leonard Turkel’s exhibit, “Following Your Own Sense of Justice,” will be featured at Miami Dade College’s Museum of Art + Design, 600 Biscayne Blvd., from on Jan. 17 through March 29.

Organizers say the exhibit will highlight an artistic side of Turkel that was bolstered by a social conscience unlike that of a typical businessman.

Turkel established mobile health clinics, midnight basketball sessions and inner-city housing developments he facilitated for the least fortunate of Miamians.

The exhibition is open and free to the public Wednesday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature a series of Turkel’s collages and assemblages.
