The New World Symphony Orchestra To Perform At Arsht Center

The New World School of the Arts Symphony Orchestra will perform on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, 1300 Biscayne Blvd.

Anyone can attend the show for a general fee of $20. Students and seniors pay $10 admission. Tickets are available at nwsa.mdc.edu.

The symphony orchestra will feature Rienzi Overture by Richard Wagner and Sergei Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5. Distinguished violinist, Glenn Dicterow, will perform Samuel Barber’s violin concerto.

Dicterow will also perform with the students of the NWSA Symphony Orchestra and share his experiences as a soloist, ensemble musician, recording artist and educator.

“Glenn Dicterow’s visit to New World School of the Arts brings a unique and unparalleled level of violin mastery to the NWSA students and the community,” said Daniel Andai, dean of music at New World School of the Arts.
