The Reporter Is Accepting Applications For Editor-In-Chief

Miami Dade College’s award-winning student newspaper, The Reporter, is accepting applications for the position of editor-in-chief for the 2026-27 school year. 

The deadline to apply is June 12 at 5 p.m. Prospective candidates must have a minimum 2.5 GPA, at least one year of experience with a college, high school or professional organization and be enrolled in at least six credits per semester.

Responsibilities will include overseeing a staff of about 45 students, assigning and editing stories, training writers, overseeing section editors and representing the paper at college-wide events. 

Applicants must submit a resume, five to seven clips, three references and a 500-word essay detailing their plans as editor-in-chief.
