Theodora “Teddie” Laing Selected As Executive Director Of The Meek Center

Theodora “Teddie” Laing has been selected as executive director of the Carrie P. Meek Entrepreneurial Education Center. She started her new position on Aug. 30. 

Laing is responsible for managing the daily operations of the center and developing relationships with educators, service providers and funders.

“I want to have a very positive impact on the students. To be seen as accessible, personal, approachable, and for the students to be comfortable to come to me if they need any coaching or help,” Laing said. “It’s all about the students, the students are what make us better at our jobs.”

For the past 18 years, Laing has served as chairperson of the School of Global Business at North Campus.

Laing earned an associate’s degree from Mercer County Community College in Trenton, New Jersey. She also obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science from Rutgers University and a master’s in public affairs from Rider University.
