Udall Offers $5,000 Scholarship For Undergraduate Students

Udall, an environment and Native American-focused foundation, is offering a $5,000 scholarship for undergraduate students.

Students must submit an 800 word essay on a speech, legislative act, book or public policy statement by either Morris K. Udall or Stewart L. Udall and its impact on their interests and goals. The Udalls’ careers had a significant impact on American Indian self-governance, health care, and the stewardship of public lands and natural resources.

Applicants must submit a transcript and three letters of recommendation and can read more about these men’s legacy on their  website

All entries must be submitted to Kathy Maalouf, Udall representative for Miami Dade College, at kmaalouf@mdc.edu. The deadline is Jan. 30.
