Volunteers Needed For Miami Beach Pride Parade

Miami Dade College is currently seeking volunteers to participate at the annual Miami Beach Pride Parade on April 7 at 10 a.m.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to walk in the parade to support the LGBTQ+ community and receive a complimentary shirt. The parade will kickoff Pride Week at MDC.

“We are democracy’s college, and we welcome all students, as well as prospective students, regardless of sexual orientation,” said Peter Davila, co-chair of MDC Kendall Pride Committee.

The event will be sponsored by the MDC Pride Committee at Kendall Campus.

RSVP invitations will be sent out to MDC students, faculty and staff through their college email accounts. Registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis and up to 100 participants are allowed to attend. Meeting times and location will be announced via email to registered students.

For more information, contact Peter Davila at (305) 237-2039 or pdavila@mdc.edu.
