Wolfson Campus Selects Interim Chairperson For The School of Engineering, Technology And Design

Cynthia Okoe was selected as the interim chairperson of the School of Engineering, Technology and Design at Wolfson Campus.

Okoe is charged with growing academic programs by creating partnerships and new programs. She began her role on July 15.

“I am most excited about building community partnerships that will create opportunities for our students,” Okoe said.

Okoe began working at Miami Dade College in 2008 as a National Science Foundation project director at the Wolfson and Kendall campuses. From 2012 to 2018, she served as chairperson of the School of Global Business and the School of Engineering, Technology and Design at Eduardo J. Padrón Campus. Most recently, she served as the Honors College Director at Kendall Campus since 2019.

Okoe earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education and a master’s in business administration from the University of North Florida. In 2019, she obtained her doctorate degree in higher education administration from the University of Florida.

Nicole Molina

Nicole Molina, 18, is a mass communication and political science major in the Honors College at Kendall Campus. Molina, who graduated from Florida Christian School in 2021, will serve as a staff writer for The Reporter during the 2022-2023 school year. She aspires to pursue a career in law.
