You Can Enter A Sports Innovation Challenge To Help An NBA Team Better Engage Its Fans

The Idea Center, in partnership with the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association, is hosting a competition that allows students to create a fan membership program.

With the project, the Magic hope to strengthen their relationship with fans, both locally and internationally, and create new viable revenue streams.

The competition is open to all Miami Dade College students. Applications are being accepted until September 19.

Pitches will be made on Sept. 26 at Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. Second Ave., in Room 8525 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The winning team will receive a $3,000 prize and an opportunity to compete at the state level.

The state competition will be in Orlando, from October 16 -18. Winners from that level will receive a $10,000 cash prize.
