Jazz Drummer John Riley To Perform At Wolfson

On April 5, John Riley, three-time Grammy award-winning jazz drummer, will perform at the Wolfson Campus Auditorium, 300 N.E. 2nd Ave., in Room 1261 at noon during the Jazz at Wolfson Presents Visiting Artist Series.

“He is a world-class drummer who has played with some of the world’s greatest jazz musicians. I am absolutely honored to have the opportunity to play with him on stage,” said Michael Di Liddo, the founder and director of the Jazz at Wolfson Presents Visiting Artist Series.

Scoring his first professional gig in an over-the-phone audition, Riley quickly rose through the ranks and went on to study under Joe Morello, a famous jazz drummer. Since then, he has been featured on countless records and has played with some of jazz’s most celebrated artists, such as Miles Davis, John Scofield, Bob Mintzer and Dizzy Gillespie.

This performance is free to the public.
